24.05.2015 Ride - The Roundhouse, Camden, London
Quite excited at the prospect of going to my first gig for four months which I haven't organised myself!
Someone I knew through the radio station got very excited when Ride announced some gigs. "Oh you've definitely got to go, I'll get tickets, we'll meet up and have a great time". Turned out after I got my ticket that she wasn't that big a fan and she wasn't bothered if she went or not. I have no idea if she did as I didn't bother to find out.
I was never a big fan of Ride's first time round - not because I thought they were no good, but because there was far too many other good bands distracting me back in their heyday. I remember loving Twisterella when I heard it on Gary Crowley's GLR show and I've undoubtedly got that and a couple of other singles in my CD collection which is avoiding dust in airtight boxes up in my loft.
Hearing the first bars of Leave Them All Behind - and the next hour and a half or so - made me decide this wasn't something I was going to regret. Glad I managed to tick that one off my "to do" list. Now when's that Lush reunion ...

I think I'm meant to do an "About" here but I think you'd be more interested in seeing a random seagull.
