Tjernobyl Dödar – Titta Bort

Been having a deep dive of my digital record collection the last couple of weeks and I’m extremely puzzled as to why I have a track from 1994 called “Titta Bort” by Tjernobyl Dödar.

Turns out it’s Swedish, “Tjernobyl Dödar” means “Chernobyl Kills” and the track was originally released in 1994 on a cassette called Krampfeber (“febrile convulsion”) which appears on Discogs here. The tag on the file says “The Rhudorff Files” but I can’t find a single reference to that anywhere.

I’ve tagged it as 2010, so I guess that’s when I came into possession of the MP3. “Titta Bort” is Swedish for “Look Away”, and it’s a cover of GI Blues by Carter USM. But I’ve still no idea how I ended up with a copy of this version!
