Break For Cover – Golden Fleece, Chelmsford

Off to Chelmsford to watch our friend Dave play in a covers band – but I was having a particularly good day out.

I currently work with a guy who is not just my boss – I work for him in one business – but also my business partner. We’re 50-50 partners in another, but he ignores that and treats it like it’s just his business anyway, which means he’s pretty much making all the decisions and ignoring me more and more.

It’s Friday 23rd; I’m back in the office on Tuesday 27th and I’ve made the decision to tell him to stick both the jobs and our business agreement up his arse.

So what I mainly remember about tonight is having a few beers and the smile on my face all night having made the decision about my future.

I did go ahead and tell him (I was more polite than I might have suggested earlier in this page), and it turned out to be a fantastic move. I was worried I might not get a better job – I ended up making more money, enjoying my work much more and having a much higher quality of life too.
