HMS Morris, Pictish Trail – Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham

A quick decision to head down to Tŷ Pawb in Wrexham to catch a headline set from HMS Morris, who I first caught at the Urdd last year.

It was an earlyish start and we managed to get there in time to see Pictish Trail – I wasn’t really sure I would like it because I grew out of my folktronica phase quite a long time ago, but he was really good – very engaging with the crowd and good songs too.

HMS Morris were utterly delightful, as you’d expect. They have massive amounts of energy on stage and are one of the few bands who genuinely look like they are having a great time from start to finish. One new song tonight – so maybe a new album towards the end of the year?
