Nurse Who Loved Me, Mackley Drive – Chinnery’s, Southend-on-Sea

Two local Essex bands playing a local(ish) venue. This was the last of two occasions that I saw The Nurse Who Loved Me (named after A Perfect Circle song) – they morphed into High/Low (named after a Nada Surf song).

Mackley Drive were a band who had played a session for me earlier in the year. I guess they came from Corringham, because I was walking around there one time and turned into Mackley Drive. The singer Josh Woo is, as of 2024, still making music under his own name.

The digital camera I had at that time was not great and Chinnery’s lighting and stage never helps!
