Table Mountain
On our last full day in Cape Town we decided to pay a visit to Table Mountain.
Unfortunately the rest of Cape Town had the same idea, and we queued up for 2 hr 45 mins in the sun to get the cable car.
We were standing for most of this time, so I wasn’t really in much of a state to enjoy the views when we got to the top – I was just too tired.
We had an ice cream, took some photos and then joined the 45 minute queue to get back to the bottom again. Standing up all afternoon in the heat was pretty exhausting.
I don’t think there was any real point in visiting here. You can see the mountain from lots of places in the city, and it looks great from there.
So that was Cape Town! Tomorrow we will be heading to Johannesburg, where we will be told not to leave our hotel at the airport, before flying off to one of the remotest parts of the entire world, Saint Helena.
