Kaiser Chiefs, Public Service Broadcasting – O2 Arena, Greenwich

I think this was the first time in years that I had forgotten to take my good pocket camera (Panasonic Lumix TZ70) into a gig. Always manage to get it in without any problems and the new one has a fantastic zoom on it.

I thought – well, how bad can a normal cameraphone be? The answer was TERRIBLE, as you can see from the photos and videos which I have gamely added to this page despite being terrible.

My cameraphone is an LG G3 which did use to take fantastic pictures for a few months – after a year I changed it as it was failing to focus all the time. I can’t be sure if the focusing problem was happening tonight or whether it was just too dark and I was too far away to do anything decent.

Good gig though. Public Service Broadcasting truly perplexed the Kaiser Chiefs crowd, which is increasingly being populated by people who see Ricky Wilson on prime time BBC shows.

A good indicator of their increasing popularity was that I booked these tickets nearly a year in advance!
