Smokin’ Donuts – The Chequers, Billericay
The first of three gigs from the same band in the same venue, all about a year apart. Smokin’ Donuts are a duo – Fruitbat (Les Carter) from Carter USM and Essex alternative folk musician Doozer McDooze. The set is mostly self-penned new material although they usually sneak in a Sherriff Fatman or something like that. The gig flyer didn’t actually use the name Smokin’ Donuts – that came later.
