Ryan Green, Luciee Closier, Leanne Louise – Eclipse, Brentwood

This was the first show that I organised in the Eclipse night club in Brentwood. There was going to be a series of them but sadly (or perhaps, not sadly) it turned out to the be last.

The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly and I had difficulty persuading people to come to the club, which had a really bad reputation in town for drugs and fighting – every time I drove past it on a Saturday night there were police cars outside. The “2 for 1” offers at the bar still made drinking there more expensive than anywhere else, too.

I should have been annoyed when the club’s management decided to break our agreement, but I was actually delighted – I didn’t relish returning there. I miss the old pub, The Castle – much more of a fun night out in town.
