Latitude Festival 2014 – Henham Park, Southwold

Although I always look forward to Latitude, this year was a bit of a challenge. I had no one to go with, it clashed with the Brentwood Festival and for me it wasn’t as good a line up as previous years. After hearing Damon Albarn’s awful solo album this year, it did make me worry that that was where this year’s benchmark was set.

I wasn’t really in the mood to explore a lot of artists I didn’t know. Maybe next year eh!

There were two big highlights for me though – seeing Hall and Oates (and getting my usual pit pass so even I could take some decent photos) and a choatic set from Dingus Khan, although I couldn’t keep wondering where these 300 people, who knew all the songs, were when we put Dingus Khan on for a gig in Southend!

I was only on site for about four and a half hours, and because of the clashes/lineups (the Friday night even clashed with Phoenix Fridays) that’s all I did this year. I also noticed from my photos that I took one in the Latitude Festival car park at 17.05 and then another of the Main Stage of the Brentwood Festival at 18.57, so that was some dash.
