The Others – Half Moon, Putney
Across town to Putney, a place I don’t think I’ve ever been to before (and didn’t hang around in) to see The Others on their current record label-less, album-less, promo-less tour.
Being a Friday evening I got down quite late but just before the band took to the stage, and they knocked out about an hour and 20 minutes of tunes. Having two albums plus a new album’s worth of material, there’s quite a lot to choose from now.
I was lucky to witness one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen at a gig in a while, although Others fans will probably consider this kind of behaviour rather normal. Rather than jump around like an idiot, a random stage invader takes to the stage, gets on the floor and does 30 pressups. While the band are all still playing around him.
